The ideal candidate for the Gold’s Gym franchise opportunity is an individual or a group with business acumen and experience, and a passion for fitness. Our concept is proven all over the world, but changing just one life in your community is a fulfilling reward that not every franchise can offer.

Financially, we’re looking for a minimum net worth of $1 million with liquidity of $400,000. The estimated investment level for a single gym ranges from $2,218,250 to $5,000,500 with an initial franchise fee of $40,000.

Just as you should be selective when choosing a franchise investment, we too adhere to exceptionally high standards when evaluating franchise candidates. A healthy and cohesive franchisor/franchisee relationship is critical to the success of the Gold’s Gym concept.

The Journey to Ownership

  1. Initial Inquiry

    Once we receive your initial inquiry, we will quickly determine if there are Gold’s Gym franchise opportunities in your market and if you meet our minimum financial requirements

  2. Initial Phone conversation

    We will schedule a call with our Director of Global Franchise Development to discuss your background, your interests, and your financial qualifications. We may also schedule an in-person meeting to learn more about you and your territory of interest.

  3. FDD Review and Receipt

    If it’s determined that you are a good potential fit for Gold’s Gym, you will receive a copy of our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). The FDD contains detailed information about franchising with Gold’s Gym and contains important information so you can make a more informed decision about your future with us.

  4. Application

    The next step is to complete our application. Once completed and retuned with the required supporting documents, we will begin our due diligence and vetting process.

  5. Attend Franchise Discovery Day

    If you qualify, we will invite you to attend a franchise discovery day at our global support center in Dallas, Texas. You will meet with our executive team as well as representatives from marketing, technology, development, and operations support.

    Most franchisees are approved 24 hours after attending our franchise discovery day.

  6. Signing Your Gold’s Gym Franchise Agreement

    Congratulations! You are now part of the most iconic fitness brand in the world and the Gold’s Gym franchise family.

  7. Site Selection And Acceptance

    We will introduce you to a nationally approved real estate brokerage firm or you can work with a local broker of your choosing. All sites will be reviewed with demographics report and final acceptance based upon an on-site visit to the location and review of the trade area.

  8. construction/build-out BEGINS

    Once the site is secured, we will introduce you to one of our approved architectural and design vendors. We will also introduce you to approved general contractors (approval required of GCs outside of our approved vendor list).

  9. Grand Opening

    Our marketing and operations team will support your pre-sale prior to grand opening date, as well as assist you in preparing and executing the grand opening. Finally, we will provide the full suite of services to assist you every step of the way, including branding, purchasing, training, opening and on-going support.
